The shrinkage of casinos in China's southwestern border

The gambling in China has long been prohibited together with prostitution and drugs, but recently an increasing number of wealthy Chinese are reported to have gambled away their millions in the foreign casinos.
Last week, Chinese government has announced that it would not avert its unceasing fights against gambling and would particularly focus on sealing the possibility of wagering in abroad casinos. With the aid of foreign counterparts, Yunnan police has launched a raid upon the Chinese casino bosses, cutting off their banking services. The offices and gambling websites, commissioned by foreign companies were closed.
The anti-gambling campaign in China has had a tremendous impact on casinos located in the adjacent countries. In the past two month eighty four of them have gone out of business as was broadcasted in the Beijing News.
