Gambling councilors are staged across Ontario

The figures from 2001 which were updated this year show that about 340,000 Ontario residents are suffering from a moderate to severe gambling ailments. Out of those people approximately 80,000 are categorized as compulsive gamblers.
A gambling preventing group from Ontario is launching awareness campaigns meant to draw public's attention to the growing problem. The Council of Gambling maintained recently that Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation agreed to a monthly council program in casinos, lottery outlets and racetracks in the province.
Special teams will be commissioned by the council in order to mount booth in as many locations across Ontario as possible concentrating on high traffic areas, where counselors would be staffed, helping or advising on the gambling addiction issues.
