Australian Gambling Group Tabcorp to Revamp Conrad Jupiters Hotel and Casino

Australia's flagship gambling and entertainment group Tabcorp recently announced plans to revamp the Gold Coast's Conrad Jupiters hotel and casino for $53.5 million. Tabcorp hired Gold Coast architecture firm The Buchan Group and interior designer company Bates Smart to create the casino's new look. By August of this year, the casino is expected to begin construction, aiming to complete the project before the end of 2006.

The new and improved resort will have all casino and gaming offerings condensed to one floor, which will be expanded. By opting for a single casino floor, the resort will free up an additional 3,500 square meters of space. Other renovations include the addition of sizeable balconies, a new restaurant as well as an entertainment venue for live music. The casino floor itself will also benefit from a new stylized entry hall, as well as new lounge areas.
