Catfish Bend Casino Gives $100,000 to Community Organizations

Iowa’s Catfish Bend Casino’s matching grants program will be giving $100,000 to area organizations. According to Catfish Bend general manager Joe Massa, the Catfish Bend Casinos decided to offer the grants in 1999 to show the company’s appreciation to the communities that host the casino.

Last year, 167 organizations applied for grants, with 109 received funding. Organizations are invited to apply before June 10. The casino company will announce recipients on July 13. To receive an application, contact the community relations manager, Jennifer Hawkins, at (319) 372–2946 ext. 125
