Online Casinos Can Learn More about Their Customers with New IGC Sponsored Survey
11 July 2005
The Interactive Gaming Council is sponsoring a new survey to find out about consumer confidence in e-commerce. Online casinos are a major part of today’s e-commerce world, which is why the IGC, with funding from an online casino, is sponsoring the new project. When one of the online casinos with membership to the IGC got into a dispute with players they claimed were “bonus abusers,” the casino decided to donate the disputed money to the survey.
While many questions are geared towards consumers who use online casinos and other gambling sites, many questions are geared towards other branches of e-commerce, such as online clothes shopping. Major questions in the survey include the customers’ need for unbiased third-party binding arbitration, how much importance customers place on correct licensing of online merchants and casino operators.
The survey is located online at http://asr3.com/sm/login.asp?anom=112x1x1 and Dr. Rohan Miller, a Business professor at the University of Sydney, who is responsible for the methodology of the survey, hopes to be able to question at least 200 e-commerce customers. The survey is interactive, and will provide questions which are custom-tailored to each response.
