Wanted: Workers for Atlantic City Casinos
23 July 2005
Atlantic City Casinos are about to suffer from an employee shortage – at least, so they expect. When the $500M expansion of the Borgata Hotel-Casino-Spa will be completed sometime next year, many expect that there aren't enough workers to hire for the casino.
Waiters and waitresses, dancers, bar maids and more are all wanted at Atlantic City's casinos, as well as in the nightclubs and restaurants located on the premises of those casinos. Over all, there seems to be an insufficient workforce to meet the demands of casinos and entertainment businesses in the area.
The question is, what are the casinos going to do about the shortage of staff? Will they go "hunt" for new talents outside the city? In order to remain an attractive employment option, casinos will have to start out by offering potential employees competitive salaries and benefit packages.
