Macau Casinos‭' ‬Direct Gaming Tax Increase

Statistics have shown that in Macau,‭ ‬income from direct gaming tax increased by‭ ‬23.4‭ ‬percent in the first seven months of this year,‭ ‬compared to the same period last year.‭

Finance Service Bureau statistics have shown that this year's gaming tax for Macau amounted to‭ ‬9.5‭ ‬billion patacas,‭ ‬which is equivelent to‭ ‬1.9‭ ‬billion US dollars.‭

Casinos in Macau pay‭ ‬35‭ ‬percent of their gross revenues as a direct tax to the government.‭ ‬So far,‭ ‬Macau is the only region i china with legalized casinos and those observing the region expect more than‭ ‬20‭ ‬casinos to be constructed within the next two years.‭
