Macau Casinos' Direct Gaming Tax Increase

Statistics have shown that in Macau, income from direct gaming tax increased by 23.4 percent in the first seven months of this year, compared to the same period last year.
Finance Service Bureau statistics have shown that this year's gaming tax for Macau amounted to 9.5 billion patacas, which is equivelent to 1.9 billion US dollars.
Casinos in Macau pay 35 percent of their gross revenues as a direct tax to the government. So far, Macau is the only region i china with legalized casinos and those observing the region expect more than 20 casinos to be constructed within the next two years.
