TransAct Technologies to Introduce the Epic 630 for Gaming Machines Outside Casinos
14 September 2005
TransAct Technologies Inc., a worldwide developer, manufacturer and marketer of transaction-based printers, recently announced the future launch of the Epic 630(TM) at the Global Gaming Expo (G2E), currently underway in Las Vegas. The new product is the first of the company's innovative line of printers, targeting the international industry for gaming machines, generally not located in casinos, but in other facilities such as betting parlors and pubs.
The Epic630 is designed for game types such as Amusements with Prizes (AWP), Skills with Prizes (SWP), Video Lottery Terminals (VLT), Fixed Odds Betting Terminals (FOBT), Japanese Pachinko machines, and other gaming machines generally not offered in casinos. The product features an extra large 6" paper roll capacity, which translates into significantly fewer roll changes, and thus time saved.
Bart C. Shuldman, Chairman, President and CEO of TransAct Technologies stated that “the global market for gaming-type machines found outside of casinos is an exciting new revenue opportunity for TransAct and G2E is the perfect place for our latest printer launch given the high profile of the conference. We designed a robust, feature rich printer capable of handling the demanding and diverse needs of the market.”
