New Casinos Scheduled to Open in Macau from K. Wah Construction Materials

K. Wah Construction Materials Ltd. has announced that it plans to open three new casinos in Macau, the only city in China in which gambling is legal. Vice Chairman Francis Lui revealed that they plan to have the casinos open by mid-2006, equipped with over 400 table games.

The company, which plans to change its name to Galaxy Entertainment Group Ltd. by the end this year, recently reported the first-half net income of US$1.8 million, excluding the casinos' income, as the casino acquisition took place after that period.
