Landry's Buys Golden Nugget Casinos

A dining company in Houston has decided to dive into the the dynamic and competitive gambling industry. In light of this decision, the Nevada Gaming Commission has approved the sale of Golden Nugget casinos to Landry's Restaurants.
Landry's has been permitted to take over Golden Nugget casinos in downtown Las Vegas as well as Laughlin, Nevada. $140 million was paid by Landry's for the hotel-casinos, as well as $155 million in debt.
It is believed that Landry's will begin renovation of the Golden Nugget casinos in Las Vegas as soon as possible, and will hopefully begin expanding in the coming year.
