Online Casino Group Crystal Gaming Plans to List on London Stock Exchange
9 October 2005
The Crystal Gaming Group, which runs online casinos in South Africa and the US as the parent company of the Doleplex online casino group, has come forward with its plans for a $250m listing on the London Stock Exchange. Broker Seymour Pierce has been appointed to advise the listing.
This announcement came only weeks after 32Red.com, a highly-regarded online casino site, was forced to cut down plans to raise money via its listing. Although some operators raised concerns regarding customer service and poor industry relations, others stated that the the Crystal Gaming Group had made great strides in cleaning up operations in these areas.
Currently, Crystal owns and operates casino sites such as vegasfrontier.com and crytalpalacecasino.com. These sites cater mainly to the U.S. Market. A source close to Crystal has stated that people should not underestimate the profit generation and operating skills that are behind the business. A high profile chairman will likely be appointed by Crystal in the coming week.
