Gulf Coast Casino Industry Future Looks Promising
23 November 2005
Casino experts predict that in the next 15-20 years, the Mississippi Gulf Coast casino industry will be much more successful, with more than just gambling to offer. Isle of Capri, Palace Casino, and Imperial Palace plan to reopen their doors to the public by the end of the year. The Isle of Capri casino should re-open around December 26th with plenty of slot machines as well as table games.
Casino executives believe that in the next few years, the casino industry will shift its focus from slot machines and table games to other forms of entertainment. Casino complexes will include entertainment, restaurants, convention spaces, and will finally be built on shore.
The fact that casinos can now be built on shore could make a world of difference, and casino executives are hopeful that this move will bring in more tourists.
