New South African Casino in Western Cape's Future
27 November 2005
South Africa's Western Cape region will see its number of casinos rise to five as Sun International, a major South African casino company, plans for a 56 million Rand casino in Worcester. The casino site will be located opposite the Worcester dam.
The casino project will be one of the largest private sector investments in the Breede River Valley's leisure industry. The casino is scheduled to open in September 2006 and will have a Cape Dutch feel to it. The casino will feature 250 slot machines, shops, sporting activities and plenty of entertainment. Children will not have to stay at home, as an entertainment area has been designed especially for them.
This casino project will create employment as well as new business opportunities for Western Cape residents.
