Thousands Apply To Work at Iowa Casino

The official opening of the Diamond Jo Worth Casino in Northwood, Iowa, could create as many as 450 jobs. Thousands of people have shown interest in snatching one of these employment positions.

Employment applications have been gushing in since the opening of a casino employment center in Northwood this month. Thousands of people have applied for positions at the casino, even those living outside of Northwood.

Officials are confident that the casino will be up and running by April 2006. Four casino licenses were granted by the Iowa Racing and Gaming Commission earlier this year, and Diamond Jo Worth will be the first of these four to open.
