Casino Sued for Woman's Fall
6 January 2006
Joyce Warnecke, a woman who fell down a staircase at the Casino Queen in East St. Louis, is in the process of suing the casino for damages and negligence. Warnecke is suing for an excess of $50,000.
Warnecke has claimed that the casino did not protect her safety, as no warning was given of the staircase's instability. No information has been provided about the actual danger that was posed by the staircase. However, Warnecke claims that she suffered major injuries to her body from the fall.
Warnecke will be represented by five lawyers from two different laws firms in this case against the casino. The plaintiff is also seeking to have her legal costs paid for by the casino.
