Casino Bus Crashes With Truck, Severely Injuring One
23 January 2006
Foxwoods casino gamblers probably never imagined that their bus would collide with a truck while they traveled on the Mohegan-Pequot Bridge in Connecticut. To their surprise, however, the casino bus and a black Chevrolet Silverado crashed into one another, seriously injuring one passenger. The bus was transporting about 40 passengers from Foxwoods Resort Casino.
The severely injured passenger, along with four others who complained of pain were rushed to hospital. The remaining passengers waited at the scene of the accident for another Foxwoods casino bus to come and pick them up. The bridge was closed off, and traffic was redirected.
The reason for the accident has not yet been determined. Police, however, are continuing their investigation.
