Casino Classes Offered to UK Students

Britain will see the opening of its first "gambling academy" at the end of the month. Casino courses will be conducted at a new department at Blackpool and The Fylde college. The college is situated near Blackpool's Golden Mile, a potential location for Britain's yet-to-be-built super-casino.

The gambling academy managers hope to have 350 students enrolled for the casino courses by the end of February. Some of the casino training courses offered are croupier training and slot machine engineering and repair, as well as roulette, blackjack, and poker courses.

Additionally, academy managers plan to provide all gaming industry requirements in one establishment. Students at the gambling academy will have the opportunity to work in a live casino setting, constructed by and on the grounds of the academy, which will enable them to obtain firsthand casino experience. The Gala Casinos group will provide backing for the gambling academy.
