South African Casino Hit With Another Robbery

The Sibaya casino in Durban, South Africa, was robbed early Thursday. It was reported that 20 robbers armed with AK-47 rifles held up casino staff and shot a policeman in the stomach.
Apparently, one of the robbers watched the entrance while others raged through the casino. R500 000 (Approximately US$82,000) worth of jewelery was stolen as well as the purses and mobile phones of casino patrons. In addition, money was also stolen from the casino cashier. This amount has not yet been stated.
The wounded police officer was taken to the hospital and is reportedly in stable condition. The serious and violent crimes unit is investigating the casino robbery, but no suspects have yet been arrested.
