Al Pacino to Play Las Vegas Casino Owner in Ocean's Thirteen
29 April 2006
According to a recent report, famous actor Al Pacino agreed to join another Hollywood heavyweight George Clooney in "Ocean's 13", the latest installment in the criminal escapades of the charming rogue Danny Ocean and his gang of brilliant schemers.
Although details of the plot are being kept a secret, a Warner Bros spokeswoman was reported as saying that the 66-year-old Oscar winner will play the role of Willie Banks, the operator of a prominent casino complex in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Although Cathrine Zeta Jones and Julia Roberts will no longer play their roles from the previous film, "Ocean's Twelve", Pacino will work with other series regulars, such as Brad Pitt, Matt Damon, Don Cheadle, Bernie Mac, Casey Affleck and Scott Caan.
The film, which is expected to come to theaters in mid-2007, will be shot in Los Angeles and casino-gambling Mecca Las Vegas. The Steven Soderbergh-directed sequel is scheduled to start shooting in the end of July.
