Mississippi Gaming Commission Awards Development Approval to Casino Company

Isle of Capri Casinos, Inc., an industry-leading casino operator, recently announced that it received the required site and development approval from the Mississippi Gaming Commission to construct a casino complex in Harrison County, Mississippi. According to Isle of Capri's preliminary plans, the future venue will feature a casino with more than 2,000 gaming tables, a 500-room hotel and several restaurants.
The planned casino project carries an estimated $250-300 million price tag. Isle of Capri officials said that it still remains subject to certain important conditions, and that they must obtain further approvals and permits before construction begins.
Tim Hinkley, president and CEO of Isle of Capri Casinos, Inc., was quoted as saying, "We are pleased with the action taken today by the Gaming Commission and we are excited to be moving forward with this project in west Harrison County. [...] We also appreciate the support we have received from local, state and county officials and we look forward to working with them in the development of this project."
