Authorities Identify Mother of Dead Newborn Discovered in MGM Mirage Casino Trash
28 June 2006
Authorized Online Casinos recently reported of a newborn found dead in a trash pile inside The Mirage casino establishment located on the Las Vegas Strip. At the time, we also reported that investigators assigned to the case were leaning towards the possibility that the child's mother was a hotel guest rather than an employee.
According to most recent reports, the local police identified the dead infant's mother. As it turns out, the 16-year-old female, who gave birth to the aforementioned baby, was a guest at the casino facility's hotel. She told police that she had concealed the pregnancy from her parents and that the infant was stillborn at the time of birth.
The authorities were reported as saying that the district attorney's office would decide whether or not to file criminal charges against the casino-visiting teenager. The minor's name was prohibited for publication.
