LVGI Set to Start a Revolution at G2E
2 November 2006
Throughout history, certain inventions have set the modern gaming industry on fire: video poker, the imbedded bill validator, player tracking systems to name a few. Now Las Vegas Gaming, Inc. is set to unveil the biggest innovation to hit gaming since dice: PortalVision(TM). From its G2E booth #3143, LVGI will be starting a revolution in gaming -- a new world where video slot machines are unlocked and profit potential is unleashed. A new world where video slots are also lottery terminals, race/sports terminals and interactive kiosks. A new world where players' entertainment options are as limitless as the imagination itself.
LVGI Chief Marketing Officer Stephen Crystal said, "Over the past several weeks, we have been announcing our strategic assembly of an incredible team and international distribution agreements. PortalVision is the reason for it all. We firmly believe that PortalVision will be the big hit of G2E and forever change the way operators and customers view video slots."
PortalVision is a totally new and exciting proprietary multimedia delivery system. PortalVision enables operators to dramatically increase gaming device productivity by delivering additional real-time wagering opportunities, advertising, promotions, games and other content on existing machines. PortalVision's innovative family of products includes AdVision(TM), PromoVision(TM) SlottoVision(TM) and WagerVision(TM).
PortalVision looks much like picture-in-picture: It unlocks the gaming screen and enables operators to send a variety of interactive offers directly to the gaming device screen upon customer request or event-prompted. Operators can choose to deliver these real-time or scheduled offerings to multiple casinos, all slot machines on the casino floor, a bank of machines or even an individual machine. The technology is game and system agnostic, meaning it works on any platform.
AdVision turns idle video slots into targeted indoor billboards, communicating game content, advertising, news and events happening throughout the casino direct to customers. AdVision allows the casino to create messages comprised of photos, video and sound, pre-scheduled or sent on the fly via the Internet, intranet or private network.
With SlottoVision, customers can purchase lottery tickets from slot machines with their credits, enabling operators to immediately generate additional revenue from existing equipment. When players press the cash-out button, SlottoVision offers customers the opportunity to purchase a lottery ticket. Upon purchase, they instantly get their lottery ticket, and another TITO ticket with the remainder of their balance for play elsewhere. In Nevada, players can buy a Nevada Numbers(TM) ticket; in other jurisdictions with lottery, players can purchase that jurisdiction's lottery ticket.
WagerVision allows sports wagering and watching simultaneously while playing a video slot. Customers playing video slots equipped with WagerVision can receive real-time, casino-generated prompts on screen that alert the player about live racing lines and race or sports events that begin shortly. When the customer elects to place a wager on this or any sports book event, the wager amount will automatically be deducted from their credit balance. The customer can even watch the live sporting event or race in real-time while they continue playing their current slot game. In Nevada, WagerVision connects to the American Wagering, Inc. system.
PromoVision enables operators to create an intelligent media message and to literally run thousands of varied promotions at the same time. For example, the operator can devise event-based promotions such as one based on a 4-of-a-kind win between 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. where the winner receives a free show ticket. This type of promotion can be sent instantly or pre-programmed months in advance, and the results are audited, verified and accurate. PromoVision can also enable idle video slots to act as interactive kiosks, displaying promotional messages such as show ticket availability, and allow the customer to make the purchase through the slot machine.
Crystal said, "This is the future of gaming. And we're just getting started."
